Most Recent Pickup

Hey guys. The cardboard adventure series has been delayed for a couple of days because my scanner is down, but it will be worth the wait! For now, I have a new PC pickup that I really like. I saw one of these on ebay almost a year ago, but I didn't bid because I thought I didn't have anough money. The auction ended way below what I would have bid, so I made sure I bid this time. This may be my new favorite card!

Hey, everyone. I'm taking on the undoubtably menacing task of making custom cards for anyone who asks. It is on a purely first come, first serve basis. All you need to do is email me at, or comment below with the year, design, players, or other special requests. *If you would like the cards to be in-hand, I will print them and have them shipped, but you wil have to pay for the cards and materials, and to cover shipping and such (very reasonable pricing varies). Also, if anyone wants a set of 10-15 (non-custom) cards of players, teams, or special pc's of their choice for $3.00-$5.00 respectably (within reason, eg; no relics, autos, etc). The same shipping rules apply.

Also new videos are up on our youtube page!

Good Night Irene

It's weird how something so sudden that occurs in one's life can really put things in perspective. Take the recent Hurricane Irene; it takes your mind off of life's simpler things and brings forth the broader panoramic view of ones life. There was deaths, injuries, and  damage to severe to label...and some people got pissed over the rescheduling of some baseball games due to the inclimate weather caused by the storm. My family and myself were fortunate enough to only get heavy winds and rain that brought no damage or power loss or flooding. Here I am spewing off about putting life's  important things over minor things, yet irony chomps down on me. There was a period of time where I paniced about the safety of my cards and mem'...point is we're not all perfect. We all worry about material things. I have several items of my past memories with my uncle and myself before he passed away from cancer, and I worry about those being safe as well. If you put aside our attachment to our posessions in times like these, it will give meaningful insight about the big picture. (Note: My cards are ok...haha) Keep Rippin- T.P.P.

Jacoby Ellsbury Custom (+ Trade Haul)

Hey everyone. I just decided to throw together a custom based on a 1966 Topps design mainly because I was bored. I have videos of my hauls from this summer that are in the process of being uploaded to our youtube channel, so you can check em out pretty soon. This is kind of strange, but I honestly haven't bought cards in about three weeks...don't ask me why, because I certainly would like to, but I just haven't made my way out to my LCS or Target recently. However, I have traded cards with 20youk. In
these trades, I got some nice cards. Here are some highlights.

1.2009 Topps Unique Adrian Gonzalez Solo Shot Relic (/199?)
2.Billy Ripkin F-Face Black Box
3.Several Pedroia & Lester base for my PC's of each player
4.2007 Boston Globe Upper Deck Red Sox WS Champions Jacoby Ellsbury RC

I Really Hate To Break It To You...

But the contreversy that has subtly been pushed to the back burner over stadium seat relics on supposed game used cards in earlier Topps Tribute previews is a moot point; the card previewed is a computer generated image that Topps uses on all bat relic cards. Hell, the previews aren't even actual cards, they're purely computer designs.

Also, Topps is once again scheduled in 2012 to be a sellout with their tired theme of some obscure-titled giveaway and some sort of diamond, gold, encrusted trash heap which they call parallels. Note that the theme is essentially a gold version of this years set. So much for a fresh idea each year, Michael Esiner. You and your unkept promises can go lock yourselves in the firery pits of a massive junk-wax bonfire.

Breaking News: 2012 Topps

Topps just released the base deign for 2012 Topps. They say that this product will be a game changer, but I am somewhat skeptical because this is all I have seen. For now, here is the base design...

Cardboard Adventure: Part 2!

This was my second trip to Pastime Cards and Collectables, and this time I brought more money. I didn't get any singles because I had cleaned him out about a week and a half ago, but I bought a bunch of packs. Here is what I bought...

- 4 packs 2011 Allen and Ginter
- 4 packs 2011 Bowman Platinum
- 2 packs 2011 Series 2
- 2 packs 2011 Series 2 Jumbo

While I was there I redeemed my two Prime Nines, 3 Jackie Robinson, and 9 Sandy Koufax. I did pretty well with my packs too. Out of Allen and Ginter, I pulled a Stan Lee SP autograph. Out of Series 2, I got 2 diamond giveaways, and a Carlos Pena auto. The diamond giveaway codes yeilded me a 1970 base, and a Matt Holiday die cut. Finally, I pulled a Cody Scarpetta auto out of the platinum. Here are the scans!

Part 3 to come...

LCS Haul Tommorow!

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while; I've been on several vacations. However, during said vacations, I visted some card stores, notably my favorite being Chris's of NH. I'll have those hauls posted for you tomorrow in a recap which will hopefully include some scans if my printer doesn't go kaput on me again.

Cardboard Adventure Part 1

As many of you have noticed, I have not posted in a while. That is because I was on vacation, and on this trip I obtained a lot of new cards. What I am going to do rather than post one huge summary, I will make several posts staring today so that I can include more detail.

Fist, I will start off with my first trip to Pastime Cards and Collectables. I went there, but I had not planned on going, so I only had $20. Here's what I bought...

-3 Kevin Youkilis base cards needed for my PC

-1 Pack of 2011 Series 2

-3 Packs of 2011 Allen and Ginter

Out of the Series 2, I pulled a Jason Heyward Jersey card with a plain white swatch. I also got a Prime 9 redemption for week number 9. This was my second prime 9 card, and both of them came in the same pack as the jersey card. I had not redeemed either of them yet. Unfortunatally, my 2011 Allen and ginter only yeilded a Jon Lester SP, and no hits.

Stay tuned, because the best pulls are yet to come...
