Hey, everyone. The Pack Prodigy with 20youksox here. We just completed a 1994 Topps Future Star custom of Bryce Brentz, a red-hot Red Sox prospect playing for Single-A affiliate Lowell Spinners.
Recently, Topps released preview images of the new product, 2011 Topps Marquee. Topps Marquee is a higher end product offered at what Topps called a mid range price, although it's not exactly what I'd call affordable for the "Average Joe".

I have been going crazy with the printing plates lately, but here is another. I am trying to get all of the Kevin Youkilis cards from Gypsy Queen because I really like the design, but I know there is one I could never afford, which is the sketch patch card. So far, I have 2 regular plates, 2 sticky fingers plates, 1 mini photo variation SP plate, a mini red back, and I am expecting a base in the mail soon. The big ones I still need besides the plates are the stamp, and mini leather, both numbered to 10.

Slick-fielding Jose Iglesias is ranked by Baseball America as the top prospect of the Boston Red Sox organization. He has played in several games since being called up due to Marco Scutaro being placed on the DL. He has made several nice defensive plays for the Sox. He shows promise with the bat, as well, although he is still searching for his first big-league hit.

I picked up this plate today, and it is the cyan. I already have the black to match it. I also busted a value box from Wallmart (went looking for the new 2011 Bowman, but they were out already), which I will post the results of tommorow. Nothing too exciting. Also, the Bryce Harper hype has officially begun with his chrome base cards selling for OVER $100. Other prospects to look out for include Micheal Peneda, Manny Baneulos, Manny Machado, and Brandon Belt.

Yes, you heard me correctly. The following cards were advertised or previewed, but inexplicably never produced. Incorrect advertising occurs more often than you'd think. Look at some examples below, and the one above. and what is it with Buster Posey and falsely advertised cards?
This was from a preview of 2010 Topps Heritage that incorrectly shows the RC logo. Here is the real RC.
Pujols did not have this card in the set.
The buster posey card pictured on the front was not made. The San Fransisco script was actually a Giants logo in the real card.

Hey all you with Beckett accounts, Beckett will now be charging you $20 a year to use your organize as of May 11. If you don't pay it, you will not be able to trade or sell your cards, and you will not be able to access your organize. I have talked with some of the mods, and the only way to avoid paying is if you keep your organize under 100 cards, or buying the online price guide. Even with this loophole, I still think it will not be worth it because so many people are leaving for other trading sites. Some of the most senior and well know members have been banned, or are trying to be banned because they are so strongly against it. I was actually reading the thread below, and I refreshed and a bunch of posts were deleted, and I could see lines going through the names of people who had been banned for their comments. Thing have gotten ugly, and now members are insulting one another and posting nasty comments as soon as the moderators can delete them. Moral of the story, get you organize under 100 cards for free trading.
